What Did Pippi Longstocking Wear

What did Pippi Longstocking wear? We can find that out in the book about Pippi by Astrid Lindgren and we can see it in the movies and TV series from the seventies.






Here is a video from Youtube with Pippi. It sure brings back memories, doesn't it? I used to watch it when I was a kid and I loved it. And I loved the book about Pippi too, I used to read it over and over again.

Well, let's get back to her dress. She basically wore what she found in her closet. She tried to make her own dress from yellow cloth, but she run out of it in the middle of sewing and she decided that it would be okay if it was a little shorter. That's why her blue short pants with white dots can be seen under the dress.

She loves her colorful socks and she surely loves her shoes. And they have to be large, larger than her feet because she likes to move her fingers very much.

And what about her hair? She simply wears fringe like many girls and very tight braids.

And that's pretty much what Pippi Longstocking wore.
